Hotbodies Racing Undertail:The Hotbodies Racing undertail covers up the black underside of the bike. It comes pre-painted to match the factory colors and goes on in a snap. www.hotbodiesracing.com
With everything said and done, it's been fun taking a 200-mph rocket and making it my own. The ZX-14 has also been our test mule for several months with more bolt-ons than a Hollywood movie set. My brief time with the finished product pretty much proved what i already knew about fat tires-anything bigger than 240 looks cool, but sacrifices functionality. Don't get me wrong, the bike looks like it's going 100 mph sitting still, but it's truly a weekend cruiser instead of a canyon killer.
To compare the finished ZX-14 to my car theory, i basically took a Nissan 350Z and turned it into a 1959 Cadillac. Caddys are classic and beautiful, but you don't exactly want to rip on one.
I'm ready to relinquish my crown as the King of Chrome. It's been real, it's been fun, it's been real fun, but it is 2008. I'm ready to come back to the world of performance.
