Four years ago an Orange county based sport bike club CrashClub.net started a holiday charity ride to collect toys for Hollygrove Children and Family Services and ToyRide.org was born.
On Sunday, December 12th at Edison Field in Anaheim, CA, over 500 riders from San Diego to Sacramento were treated to a stunt show, $10,000 in raffled goods including a 2005 SiK50s customized CRF50, Dyno shootout, Krispy Kreme eating contest, vendor row and of course, the annual ride through Los Angeles for the 4th Annual Toy Ride. Over $12,000 in cash and toys were delivered using two vans and two SUV's.
Toy Ride is the only organization in Southern California to hold events annually that cater to the Sportbike community. All proceeds are donated to Hollygrove, a Los Angeles Home for Orphans that provides recreational and therapeutic services to abused, abandoned and neglected children ages 6-13.
